The first time Cognitive Behavioral Theater's founder Dominic Syracuse taught one of his courses in an LA prison, he was awestruck at the way his students—people who had been incarcarated between 1-## years—responded, opening up and embracing the techniques and tools Dominic taught.
Since seeing what an incredible impact his courses could provide, Dominic has made it his mission to bring these courses to more communities to help them learn to lift themselves up and use the power of self-expression to empower themselves, set goals, and live the life they want to live.
EMPATHY IN ACTION
A New Approach to Anger Management
Dominic combines acting and improvisation techniques from world-renowned institutions with court-mandated curriculum certified by the California Cognitive Behavioral Institute to provide Anger Management courses that are as enjoyable as they are innovative. These methods have been utilized by the Stella Adler Outreach Program, Five Keys Charter School, and Hollywood Impact Studios
Tested in-field inside of maximum security prisons, rehabilitation facilities, and homeless communities across California, there is no population too severe to be rejuvenated and reformed by this approach.
Dominic Syracuse is an actor, author, teacher, speaker, and behavioral specialist in the LA area.
As an actor, Dominic received his training from The Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, The Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago, and The Groundlings School of Improv in Los Angeles.
He has recently developed a program of his techniques titled, "Building Character: 12 Acting Lessons for Mindful Empowerment." His first Book, "Make Belief" is scheduled to be released in 2020.
"Dominic has an electric energy that is contagious. His classes are passionate and inspirational."

"Before he trained at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Classes West or LA’s The Groundlings Theatre & School, Syracuse was just a kid from Cheyenne who wanted to help people. He assisted individuals with disabilities for 10 years while working his way through college, and his interests were constantly torn between the performing arts and social services."

"Syracuse, who is currently based out of Los Angeles, is not your typical performer. He is a jack-of-all-trades artist whose journey to becoming a standup comic didn’t happen all at once. His crosscountry resume includes a stints of being in a band, working as a radio deejay, studying acting at both the Steppenwolf Company in Chicago and at the Stella Adler Acting and Theatre Academy in Los Angeles."
